FULFILLMENT OF THE FEASTS

The Lord gave us seven annual feasts to celebrate His Plan of Redemption. Each feast represents a step the Messiah takes to fulfill this Plan. Four of the feasts have already been fulfilled with the Messiah’s first coming, and the last three will be fulfilled in His second coming.

Fulfilled during the 1^st coming of the Messiah:

 

Passover                                           Death on the cross

Feast of Unleavened Bread            His burial

First Fruits                                         His resurrection

Weeks                                                Pentecost. The Holy Spirit’s decent

The last three will be fulfilled during the 2^nd coming of the Messiah:

Feast of Trumpets                            Announcement of His Return

Day of Atonement                            He returns to Earth and 

                                                           puts an end to sin

Feast of Booths                                The millennium begins, 

                                                            with the Messiah as King

When we study all the details of these feasts, we learn more about God’s Plan to redeem us. When we celebrate them, we commemorate all that the Messiah has already done and all that he will soon do for us.
